With only 900 or so \u003cbr\u003eoriginal vines remaining, it’s a real living treasure. \u003cbr\u003eUltimately though, it is about family. That’s farming after all; respecting the history of ones’ \u003cbr\u003eforbears and protecting and nurturing the land and vines for the future. Planted between 1978 and 1982, the vines share some characters of the 1880 vineyard, especially the thicker skins and fine tannins, while bunch size is smaller.
